Senna alata flower
The Senna alata flower, also known as the Candle Bush or Candle Tree, is a striking yellow flower that grows on a tall shrub, often reaching up to 3–4 meters in height. The plant is native to tropical regions and is known for its unique, candle-like inflorescences. These upright, cylindrical clusters of flowers resemble the shape of a candle, hence the name.
Each inflorescence is composed of numerous bright yellow flowers arranged tightly together. The flowers bloom from the bottom up, with new buds forming at the top. The large, pinnate leaves of the plant add to its ornamental appeal.
Aside from its beauty, **Senna alata** is also valued in traditional medicine, especially for its antifungal properties. Its leaves are often used to treat skin infections, particularly ringworm, earning it the nickname **Ringworm Bush** in some regions.
